Warranty

Effective Date: November 26, 2025

Our goal is to provide a fair, transparent warranty that protects honest customers while ensuring that our jewelry is treated properly and respectfully. This policy defines what is covered, what is not, and the standards required for all warranty requests. By purchasing from Livah, you agree to the terms below.

1. Warranty Coverage & Eligibility

1.1 Standard Warranty Term

All Livah jewelry is protected by a 2-year limited warranty covering verified manufacturing and workmanship defects. This warranty is valid only for the original purchaser with proof of purchase.

1.2 What "Manufacturing Defect" Means

A manufacturing defect refers to a flaw in how the item was created, assembled, or set. Examples include:

  • Clasp or jump ring that separates due to faulty soldering.
  • Stone setting failure caused by incorrect tightening or alignment during production.
  • Premature plating peeling caused by plating-process error (not wear).
  • Structural defect detected upon inspection (not caused by misuse or impact).

2. What Is Not Covered

These scenarios fall outside warranty coverage and are typically the result of normal wear, misuse, chemical exposure, or customer-related damage. These are not considered defects.

  • Normal wear and tear: scratches, fading, dents, bending, chain stretching.
  • Plating wear: discoloration or fading caused by water, sweat, perfume, cosmetics, chlorine, lotions, humidity, or friction.
  • Tarnish on 925 silver caused by chemical exposure, humidity, or lack of proper storage.
  • Stone loss caused by impact, snagging on clothing, bent prongs, or daily wear over time.
  • Damage from misuse: dropping, hitting, bending, forced resizing, rough handling, sleeping with jewelry.
  • Unauthorized repairs or alterations (replating, resizing, soldering) done outside Livah.
  • Loss, theft, or disappearance of items or stones.
  • Wear caused by professional or extreme activities: gym, sports, pools, hot tubs, sauna.
  • Cosmetic dissatisfaction after use (stone color opinions, brightness changes, etc.).
  • Purchases from unauthorized sellers, resale platforms, or second-hand markets.
  • Free gifts, promotional items, or sample-sale pieces unless explicitly stated otherwise.

Important: Damage caused by daily wear is not a defect. Jewelry is delicate and requires proper care.

3. Anti-Abuse Protection

To protect our customers and our brand, the following rules apply to prevent warranty fraud, repeat misuse, and inappropriate claims.

  • One Warranty Claim Per Item: Each item is eligible for one approved warranty remedy. After replacement or repair, the warranty for that item is considered fulfilled.
  • Return Required for All Claims: The item must be returned to Livah for inspection. Claims that refuse return or provide unclear evidence will be declined.
  • Clear Photo/Video Evidence Required: Blurry, unclear, cropped, or insufficient evidence may result in denial until proper evidence is provided.
  • Misuse, accidental damage, or wear disguised as “defect” will not be approved.
  • Repeated claims, repeated “lost packages,” or contradictory stories may require additional verification or may be declined.
  • Threats, harassment, extortion, or social-media pressure will not influence warranty decisions.
  • Switcheroo prevention: Returned items must match the original product SKU, metal, stone, and serial identifiers. Mismatched or altered items will result in automatic denial.

Livah reserves the right to refuse warranty service or returns in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, or violation of this policy.

5. Jewelry Care Requirements

Proper care is essential to maintain your jewelry and preserve eligibility for warranty claims.

  • Avoid water, sweat, perfume, body lotions, and cosmetics.
  • Remove jewelry before sleeping, exercising, or showering.
  • Do not expose to chemicals, pools, hot tubs, or cleaning agents.
  • Store pieces separately in dry, soft pouches to prevent scratches and tarnish.
  • Clean gently with a soft cloth—avoid harsh cleaning tools.

Items showing chemical exposure, moisture damage, or impact damage will not qualify for warranty approval.

6. Legal & Administrative Terms

  • This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
  • Livah is not responsible for items lost or damaged during customer return shipping.
  • Our liability is strictly limited to repair, replacement, or store credit.
  • We comply with applicable consumer protection laws; some limitations may not apply depending on jurisdiction.
